Drivers could get the real time response on visual by the system to create special effect on vision, hearing, dynamic feeling, and etc. Drivers could also control the car on virtual environment by steering wheel and the simulator can be simulated corresponds to real moving posture of car, immediately. In the whole system, it is separated into two parts: virtual reality and simulator. In the VR, we use Visual C++ and virtual reality function library WTK 6.0 to build virtual environment. The special effects include linear and angular acceleration, collision, terrain tracking, vibration, and etc. In the simulator, the simulator accepts signals from VR then calculates the speed and position of each servo motor by deriving inverse kinematics. The interface card between PC and servo driver is PMAC card. The PMAC card transfers the calculated results, and then read the axis position by Dual Ported RAM. According the feedback, PMAC card checks the error. If the error exceeds the tolerance, PMAC card corrects the posture of the simulator. The system delivers motion parameters of car on virtual environment to simulator.
