Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 電機工程系 === 88 === This thesis presents the research of the optimal coordination in interconnected power system, and develops an effective coordination algorithm to overcurrent and distance relay, respectively. In overcurrent protection, the suitable primary/backup relay pairs can be obtained by graph theorem of augmented incidence matrix. Furthermore, the constraints of all the relays for coordination can be listed. The objective function is to minimize the total tripping time of all primary relays. Hence, the linear programming method is applied to find out the optimal settings of overcurrent relays in interconnected power system.
In distance protection, not only the traditional setting rules have been well reviewed, but also the use of distance relay cooperated with pilot relay scheme is proposed to reach the 100% line protection. Configurations of power system may change which adversely affect the reach range of distance relays. This thesis not only design the computer program to get all the proper settings of distance relays in normal condition, but also apply the adaptive techniques to optimize the relay settings after system configuration reorganized. To ensure optimal relay performance over a wide variety of operating conditions, the fast algorithm for the settings of related-only relays has been derived with successful example demonstration.
