Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 化學工程系 === 88 === A reactive batch distillation process becomes more and more attractive to the industries because of their operation flexibility. However, the depletion of fixed quantities of reactants is an inherent disadvantage of this process. Hence it is suggested that semibatch reactive distillation, which uses the semibatch reactor to replace the reboiler, can be used to overcome this problem.
The semibatch reactive distillation system of methyl acetate is able to achieve a high rate of conversion because of removing by distillation process. The derivatives of acetic acid are useful in various industries such as pharmaceuticals and food industry. It also found being used at home as vinegar. Because of semibatch processes are inherently dynamic, the semibatch reactive process will not reach steady state conditions. And the startup process is very important for semibatch reactive distillation. As a result, the whole research follows the startup process of traditional distillation and build up startup process of semibatch reactive distillation with a detailed dynamic mathematical mode to describe its operating process and simulation. Finally, the controlled construction is developed. An output-feedback control for the regulation of distillate purity via manipulations of the reflux ratio in semibatch reactive distillation is designed. The mole fraction of methyl acetate is under control and this assures the products remain at a qualified level.
