It could offer the clinic nursing more service to alcoholics. As alcoholism was a major psychiatric disease all over the world. It made severely influence over the other substance abuse. It not only caused physical complication to death , but also leaded to the severity of dysfunction family. These created big social problem. The alcoholism''s readmission was family burden and social burden. So it made sense to find out. Purpose samples of 52 alcoholics were face to face interview with structured questionnaires in the psychiatric center of northern Taiwan, then followed up after their discharged about 3 months. Three instruments were included: 1. The demographic variables of the alcoholism. 2. The social support questionnaires. 3.Addiction severity index (ASI) questionnaires. Collected samples are analyzed descriptively by SPSS statistical program. The major conclusions were as follow: (1) The divorced , separated alcoholism related to readmission. (2) There was no significance between social support and readmission or not. (3) There were significance difference of the Addiction severity index (ASI) : on medical status(t=-2.323, p=0.024)、truly work days before admitted 30days(t=-2.284, p=0.027)、employ/support(t=-3.853, p=0.010)、alcohol use(t=-5.664, p=0.000)、drug use(t=-2.218, p=0.014)、family-social relationship(t=-2.632, p=0.014)、days been bothered before admitted 30days(t=-2.224, p=0.031)、psychiatric status(t=-3.172, p=0.030)、total score of ASI(t=-6.620, p=0.000)。The days been bothered before admitted 30days'' readmission for 0.85 times. (OR=0.85 ,95%CI=0.73~0.99),The total score severity of ASIs'' readmission for 1.91times. (OR=1.91 ,95%CI=1.28~2.86)(4) Follow-up 52 alcoholism discharged 3 months'' readmission rate was 36﹪. The result could be use as a reference of clinic nursing for alcoholic patients in nursing intervention and discharged plan. Key words: alcoholism, readmission.
