For binary traits there are several measures of association for the twin data, concordance is one of these measures. Estimation of concordance is useful in genetic counseling and inference of the genetic effect for a complex trait. There are two major types of concordance, pairwise concordance and casewise concordance. Currently the likelihood method is the principal approach to estimate the twin concordances. However, the direct derivation procedure for the estimates and its variances is very complicated. Based on the self-contained subsets method and the delta method, here we propose a direct and easier method for estimation of concordances and the variances. Basically, our results provide the same answer as that from the likelihood method. 戴 政 蕭 朱 杏 2000 學位論文 ; thesis 77 zh-TW |
