In the Internet era, new knowledge and skills are introduced continuously. "Life learning" will become the must for enterprise and individual, and e-learning on the Internet will become trend and tendency of the next wave. Since the operation mode and strategy of Internet distance learning have a great influence on the management of enterprises, this study adopts case analysis, aiming at two foreign Internet distance learning industry leading companies Click2learn and SmartForce, and collecting related information, to study the operation mode and strategy of website distance learning. The main conclusions are:
1. The operation modes of Internet distance learning and ordinary traditional teaching are different. Internet distance learning is mainly to provide a complete set of e-learning services.
2. Making use of merging with enterprises related with Internet e-learning technology, to obtain technology, grow and solid the market position.
3. Marketing strategy is to form alliance with key leading proprietors of information industry related with Internet e-learning, or with enterprise website, entrance website, to market together, and become a e-learning channel and marketing Internet of extensive range.
4. Product strategy is to provide integrated and single Internet e-learning solution, and develop courses together with alliance partners.
5. Courses provide emerging information technologies.
6. Professional services are to provide complete consultation professional services including planning and analyzing, strategic analysis, strategic consultation, systematic integration, custom-making and developing, installing and establishing, technology support and maintenance, etc. of Internet e-learning.
