The results can be used for the computation of the wave resistance and to optimize the ship design. The approach to measure the wave patterns is to cast a thin light sheet onto the water surface. The image of wave pattern was photographed by a CCD camera. 2-D data of the surface profile along a line normal the sailing line is recorded in this photograph. The visibility of the wave surface is improved by scattering small particles onto the water. 3-D wave pattern can be reconstructed from the 2-D surface-profile time-history of the wave pattern as the ship model passed by the sheet light. The analysis software is developed by Borland C++ Builder 4.4 . Image processing techniques and algorithms were used to process original images and generate the wave heights. Then the 3-D wave patterns were displayed by perspective images and contour maps. Jing-Fa Tsai 蔡進發 2000 學位論文 ; thesis 0 zh-TW |
