Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 化學研究所 === 88 === Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) have been found in the 19th century. However, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons may have appeared less than interesting to the synthetic chemists, until it can be formally regarded as two-dimensional graphite section and unusual photoelectric properties. Directed synthesis and characterization of polycyclic aromatics were made in the middle of the 20th century. However, functionalization of PAHs always have great challenge. Herein, we have synthesized PAH 8b, contain D2h symmetry. Oxidative cyclodehydrogenation of hexaphenylbenzene 7 with FeCl3, can get PAH 8b. We have meatured photophysics properties of PAH 8b.
