She devoted herself to the creation, editing and publication of children’s literature. The most representative work of Mrs. Lin includes “Hi-Yin Lin’s fairy tales,” and a novel, entitled as “Those old things in Beijing.” The novel was re-edited for publication in the form of picture books in 1994. In addition, Mrs. Lin translated many pieces of children’s literature work of foreign countries. In the aspect of editing, she was appointed as the Editor of literature by the children’s literature group, Division of Education, Taiwan Province in 1964. In the beginning of implementing nine-year compulsive education, Mrs. Lin participated the textbook editing of Mandarin language. In 1968, Mrs. Lin established a publisher, which published many outstanding books for children and adolescents. The settings for Mrs. Lin’s literature work mainly included the following two: one is located in Beijing and the other is situated in Taipei. For the work situated in Beijing, the actors were her playing partners in childhood. The theme focused on childhood memory. For the work situated in Taipei, the actors displayed positive images and the work was embedded with educational implications. The family education of Mrs. Lin imposed profound impacts on her personality. Her work showed rich ideals and thoughts about morality and personality. In the aspect of moral education, she usually used the role of teacher as the first person, showing her concerns about school education. In the aspect of family education, Mrs. Lin viewed each child as an independent and unique individual, and she believed that example is better than precept. A healthy family is a prerequisite for children’s healthy personality. 林文寶 2000 學位論文 ; thesis 106 zh-TW |
