The purposes of this study were to investigate the important components and the process of construction, of personal counseling theory how to overcome the difficult occurred in the process of construction, how they affect counselor in the professional counseling work. This research adapted quantitative research method. Data were collected through the deep interviewing six counselors, and analysis data by phenomenon logical reduction method.
The research results list in below:
1.The components of personal counseling theory include「human nature」、「dynamic of individual''s growth and development」、「why people have problem?」、「how people deal problem?」、「how should the counselor help client change」、「what did the conditions make client change」、「how client''s change were evaluated?」、「what causes client unchanged?」、「what causes the counselor fail?」The components of personal counseling theory were by professional counseling training and personal believe.
2.Four stages of the development and construction of personal counseling theory are shown :「original theory learning and imitation period」、「personal counseling theory germinative period」、「personal counseling theory developmental period」、「personal counseling theory formative period」。
3.The stages of construction of personal counseling theory effected by three important reasons: the learning of counseling theory, practical experiences and life experiences. The three have different degree of impacts in four-periods of the construction personal counseling theory individually.
4.Five types of constructive of personal counseling theory were also founded. They are :「stage-integrate」、「practice approach」、「experience approach」and「construct by theory」、「gradual increase」.They are influenced by :(1) The individual learning background in environment ;(2) Individual different learning style;(3) Other personal reason.
Finally, according to the research results and discussions, some concrete propositions are proposed and the limited of this research is addressed.
