Therefore, super-capacitors are employed for breaking the barrier because of the high power density and low total weight characteristics if the super-capacitors are employed for reducing the over-discharge and voltage regulation on the battery; this is called the load leveling. The objectives of this study are the experimentation on the verifications of physical model of super-capacitors by measuring the discharging characteristics such as voltage and capacitance. And, further evaluations of the model are conducted by more experiments. In addition, the load leveling situation of the battery system is observed by making use of the model with numerical simulations. The change on the characteristics of the battery system is compared and analyzed for preventing the over-discharge situation under the prescribed conditions.
