Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立清華大學 === 工業工程與工程管理學系 === 88 === The research focuses on the development of Internet-based electronic data interchange (EDI) technology and the generation of neutral files in XML format. Traditional EDI system transfers EDI messages via value added networks (VANs) or private lines, which require major EDI enabling expanses. If EDI must combine with internal ERP system, the enterprise database format may need further modification. These tasks often overburden small companies. Even large companies take a lot of time and effort in EDI enabling. Through the Internet-based EDI approach, the EDI implement cost can be lowered and the implementation time can be shortened. Open database format makes the internal and external data mapping processes easier. The research aims at EDI solution for mid-to-large enterprises that are pursuits cooperation with small and medium enterprises(SMEs) to promote EDI system. Through the business process reengineering (BPR) process, EDI message in-flows and out-flow are modeled using the approach of integrated information architecture. Thus, SMEs can transfer or receive EDI messages through the Internet-based EDI system. Inside an enterprise, its ERP system can access the open format EDI database. The system can also export the neutral files in XEDI format. With the standard format, the data can be easily integrated with other Electronic Commerce (EC) applications . Finally a prototype system is implemented in this thesis to demonstrate the Internet-based EDI technology at work.
