Summary: | 碩士 === 國立清華大學 === 工業工程與工程管理學系 === 88 === In knowledge-based society, the processes by which knowledge is created, acquired, communicated, and applied must be effectively managed to support the company to innovate and to adapt to the changes in order to increase the value of the company. This paper is based on the concept and model of knowledge management (KM) to build KM process model and system for the R&D activities. The study uses a systematic approach to build the model using a model-generator software tool to implement a prototype system, analyze the problems and provide the solutions.
This study then uses a case to demonstrate the model application. First, we analyze the R&D process of scanner product development. Second, we develop R&D ontology, define the knowledge flow and the interaction between R&D and KM process. Third, we build the conceptual model, define the issues, specified functional requirements of the model. Forth, we use the tool to build the system and make primary examinations and evaluations. Finally, we present the unique features, functions, potential benefits, limitations and possible extensions of the model.
We hope that the method and the model proposed by this paper can help the potential users to analyze the R&D system, define the KM model functions and build the R&D KM prototype system. The expected benefits include the efficient collation and storage of the knowledge, time saved to acquire knowledge and the ease to find experienced people.
