Based upon the Fuzzy theory, the historical record and symptoms for the patient are used as the input information. Bacteria therapy handbook and physician’s experiences in therapy process are integrated to establish the rules of diagnosis and medication for knowledge database. From the system, the type of bacteria results in PENUMONIA can be identified. A suitable antibiotic can then be suggested for the medication reference of physician. From the patient historical record and with the use of data-mining technique, the correlation between symptoms and potential types of bacterial can be added into the knowledge database to increase the system quality in decision-making. This work can provide the necessary information for physicians in making decision for selection antibiotic such that unnecessary antibiotic will be reduced for their improper usage.
