Its application in the coating of steel substrate can wash thin rust and form rust prevention film of iron phosphate and corrosion resistance film of epoxy resin, and thus reach the effect of double corrosion (rust) prevention within only one coating. Through the research of special experiments, differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FT-IR), acetone solvent can affect cured reaction mechanisms and the processing degree of cross linking. Basically, it will decreased the heat of reaction (△H) and glass transition temperature (Tg), and meanwhile delay the gel time. The opposite tendency will occur when the quantity of phosphoric acid curing agent rises. In addition, when it comes to the coating film test, we confirm the practicality to the use of the epoxy resin cured by the phosphoric acid as paint.
