Summary: | 碩士 === 國立花蓮師範學院 === 國小科學教育研究所 === 88 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of integrating instructional gaming strategies with constructivistic approach in mathematical instruction by collaboration action research. The methods of collecting data included classroom observation, interviewing the students, questionnaires, and reflective journal diary. Throughout the research, the collected data was used in order to improve teaching methods and skills, as well as to investigate students’ interest in learning.
The results of this study revealed that selecting suitable instructional strategies could help students construct mathematical concepts effectively. With regard to teacher’s professional growth, the researcher’s teaching belief and teacher-centered teaching methods move more and more toward constructivistic approach with the integration of instructional gaming strategies. With regard to the students’ learning, the results of this study revealed that the integration of instructional gaming strategies with constructivistic approach mathematical instruction not only could arouse students’ interest in learning, but also help students realize that our daily life is full of mathematics.
