Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 土木工程研究所 === 88 === The purpose of this study is to determine the optimal reponse - spectrum method by comparing with the time - history method. The time - history analysis can be considered as the most accurate method of dynamic analyses that can analyze the structural deflections and the member inner force of each time step. However, the data are too huge to design. Therefore, it is reasonable to use the response - spectrum methods in this study to calculate the maximum member forces and moments. There are twelve kinds of earthquakes consist of six kinds of X - direction and six kinds of Y - direction under the assumptions of the rigidity and flexibility of the building diagram. All buildings have different sizes and stories. From these data, we discovered that CQC rule is the optimal response - spectrum method.
