If we could relax this restricted factor, then the working condition of the whole system would be improved as well. To a manufacturing system, constrain is the bottleneck of the production line. To improve the bottleneck not only increases the resources, but also optimizes the controllable factors in the workstation, and seeks for better performance through the bottleneck. Therefore, we provide a procedure. By executing this procedure we could optimize the settings of the controllable factors in the workstation, hence loosen the bottleneck to reaches the manager''s expectation. The procedure is divided into four stages: (1) beginning with observing the system, locating the bottleneck, and setting up the targets and their priority to be improved; (2) build a simulation model as the tool of experiments; (3) based on the response surface methodology, search for the optimum solution of the multiple responses simulation model; and (4) finally, find out the restriction of resources by utilizing the sensitivity analysis, and provide references for manager to increase sources.
