In order to reduce the pollutants and to insure the effluent water can fit the restricted laws, a polishment unit with easy operation and low cost such as the aerated sand-filter system in this study is needed. 4 different diameters of sand particles, which are 0.35mm, 0.59mm, 0.91mm, 1.28mm, to fit in a 1 m column were used in the trial. In the first trial that the aerated sand-filter system were treated with the 3-step effluent, the result shows that column B which were fit with the sand in 1.28mm diameter has a better efficiency. And the optimal hydraulic loading of this column was 0.3 m/day, that the removal rates of BOD, TKN, NH3, and TP in this run were 79%, 61%, 63%, and 30% respectively. Temperature and contact time are the factors that influence BOD removal efficiency. An experienced model considering the factors has been suggested for further research as follows: Le/Lo=exp(-0.47×1.047power(T-20)×D/Qpower(0.8957)) R2 = 0.93 The effluent of anaerobic tank was treated into the aerated sand-filter system. The removal efficiency to all pollutants were good though, clogging occurred during the process. This indicates that the aerated sand-filter system isn’t proper for treating anaerobic tank effluent directly. Chin-Kuan Wen 溫清光 2000 學位論文 ; thesis 125 zh-TW
