碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 電機工程學系 === 88 === Due to the rapid development of WWW in these few years, more and more enterprises have been providing their service on the Internet. Most of them are not satisifed by just present flat information, instead, they are looking forward to establish complete business transactions on-line. No doubt, E-Commerce has become a hot issue in this new century. It acturally opens up an enormous business opportunities. Two transfers are required to purchase goods over a network: the transfer of goods from the vendor to the consumer, and the transfer of the money from the consumer to the vendor. In a traditional exchange, two entities, for example, a customer and a merchant, are present at the same location. During the exchange, the customer hands the vendor some notes and coins. At the same time, the vendor hands the desired goods to the customer. Unfortunately, in E-Commerce the security of this scenario is rather skeptical because of the vendor and the customer are not present at the same place. Therefore, the success of an E-Commerce system highly depends on its security, fairness, usability, and flexibility. There are many E-Commerce systems available in the market, however, most of them focus on the security issue, rather than the fairness of the system. In this thesis, an E-Commerce prototype system will be created to fulfill the requirements of fairness, flexibility, and other important issues.
