Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 電機工程學系 === 88 === In the recent few years, because the traffic and other accidents happen frequently, people always get spinal cord injury and they can’t move their body by themselves easily. The wheelchair becomes their transportation tool; however, some disabled persons have to sit on the wheelchair almost all the day, therefore, the comfort of the wheelchair becomes a very important requirement. The electrical wheelchair commercially available is improved in this paper by implementing the wireless control, anti-collision, and center-of-weight measurement. By the way of remote control, the disabled can control an electrical wheelchair without sitting on the wheelchair. We use ultrasonic sensors to detect obstacles around the wheelchair to avoid hitting the wall or obstacles. In addition, sitting on the wheelchair cushion for a long time may cause pressure sore. We put pressure sensors on the wheelchair cushion to measure the pressure distribution between the cushion and buttock. Therefore, the disabled can know where their center-of-weight are, and then move their bodies to avoid pressure sore.
