Several direction finding algorithms are studied and their performance are analyzed through theoretical derivations and simulations. This is followed by the analyses of two methods of controlling the pattern of an array antenna adaptively for interference suppression. Finally, the direction finding and adaptive beamforming algorithms are extended to the three-dimensional case. Simulation result for application of GPS system are also presented.
