Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 工程科學系 === 88 === Keyboard and mouse are the two conventional input devices of a computer system. It is properly for people to operate both of the input devices with hand motor. But for these people who have upper-limb handicapped, it is difficult for using both of the devices. It is necessary to develop a suitable human-computer interface for these upper-limb handicapped friends to help them to operate the computer system. Voice is the natural language of human day life. It is the best way to communicate with each other via voice. In this thesis, a voice-control based mouse is designed and implemented. The main components of the voice-control based mouse consist of microphone; analog preprocessing circuit, analog-to-digital converter, and 89C51 micro-controller based processing unit and mouse signal generator chip HT6513B. Special keywords are designed for the operations of mouse. The operator speaks to the microphone with the corresponding keyboard of mouse operation (action). The picked up analog signal is processed via to preprocessing circuit, then the analog-to-digital converter samples the processed analog signal. Micro-controller based processing unit is used to process the digital signal and recognize the input keywords. Linear predictive coding method and dynamic time warping algorithm are used for digital signal processing and recognition respectively. The recognized keyword is then translated into the corresponding mouse signal via the mouse signal generator chip HT6513B. With this voice-control based mouse, the input voice is from the microphone and the output signal is sent to the mouse port of the personal computer. The successful rate of the recognition is more than 95%.
