Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 化學系 === 88 === Present studies were divided in to two main parts. First part, Cinder carbon paste electrode (Cinder/CPE) was utilized for analytical application to two sulfa drugs namily, sulfamethazine (SMZ) and sulfadimethoxine (SDM). In second part, Prussian blue units were loaded directly in the Cinder carbon paste (Cinder/CPE-PB) and coupled with flow injection analysis (FIA) for the sensitive detection and determination of nitrite. Industrially waste cinder was first cleaned properly and its was mixed with suitable amount of carbon and oil, then packed on the cavity electrode for the electroanlaytical application. Sulfonamides are widely used as additive in feeds because of its antibiotic, parasiticide and developmental effects. In this method, striping coupled Osteryoung-square wave voltammetric (OSWSV) technique was adopted for the both the compounds. Under the optimized condition SMZ showed linear line in the concentration range of 3-70 mM with a detection limit of 0.78 mM (S/N=3) in pH 9.0 phosphate solution. Similarly SDM shows a linearity in the concentration window of 1-20 mM with detection limit of 0.18mM in pH 7.4 phosphate buffer solution. The interference effect of ascorbic acid not influences much on the reduction signal of both the compounds. The electrode renew is very good, indicate good opportunity to extend to real sample analysis. Nitrates is a important compounds used as preservative and also exist in biological media like saliva. Excess of nitrate in biological media results in to cancer. This new Cinder/CPE-PB showed effective mediated signal for nitrite. For the analytical application this electrode was combined with FIA. Under the optimized condition calibration plot was linear in the range of 5-600 mM with a detection limit of 2.44 mM (3s) . Electrode renew was checked for three concentration, the values are 2.75% (600 mM), 0.988% (100mM) and 3.81% (5 mM). Major interference are oxalic acid (-ve effect), glucose (almost nil) and ascorbic acid (+ve effect). By combined with cationic or anionic polymer combined HPLC one can effective remove the above interferences.
