Description
Summary:碩士 === 義守大學 === 電子工程學系 === 88 === The animal behavior measurement is a technology using an instrumentation to measure the motion of animal in an open field. Animal activity is a very important experimental parameter for many research, such as pharmacology, toxicology, physiology…etc. The main purpose of this research is to find an automatic measurement method which can measure the animal behavior variance between different experimental environment with enough accuracy. The idea to measure animal activity is using a vibration sensing element which produced by ourselves is introduced in this study. Base on the sensitivity of this element, we wish to measure some small behavior produced by animal, such as heartbeat, shake…etc. The prototype system include the multi-channel data collection system which has four 24 bits high resolution analog to digital converter. The data collection system has an microprocessor which can transmit data to PC for further display, analysis, and record. After testing of this sensing element, we find out that the sensitivity of this sensing element is better ten times than the commercial capacitive type accelerometer.
