His contribution to the field of qin has been regarded a collective success in the field from the aspect of his standing on interptreting the qin as an performance of Dao, his practical achievement on demonstrating it, his initial attempt on conposing a new way of recording the qin notes, and his success on passing down the skill and technique to the younger generation.
