Description
Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 醫學工程學系 === 88 === Most of the Hospital Information System (HIS) were designed based on the purpose of patient registration and physician''s orders management. The aim of the later purpose was to setup for Bureau of National Health Insurance (NHI) D.O.H charging. There are no clinical data being collected in those HIS systems. But these clinical data are helpful for clinicians making right diagnosis and treatment. Therefore it would be very useful to establish the clinical database for clinicians. Hence, constructing clinical database would be most helpful for clinicians making diagnosis and treatment. Patient came to visit Emergency Room (ER) are mostly complicated and emergent clinical conditions. In this kind of illness, clinicians and nurses encounter many different kinds of diseases. Because of the critical situations, clinicians and nurses have to acquire patient’s clinical data at the first moment. In the majority of hospitals, most clinical data are consisted of text and image data types. Traditionally, these data are transmission to clinical staffs manually. The delay of the data delivty would hold up the treatment to the patients. For the reason, if the clinical information can be digitalized and transferred by using LAN infrastructure, medical staff can get clinical information through computer terminal efficiently. Also the information can be reviewed by other cooperative staffs at different places for providing the best treatment for every individual ER patient. To achieve above goal, this study has designed an ER information system .The system utilized a client-server architecture to collect patient profile, triage, physical examination and lab data from each station in the ER and existing HIS. An associated graphical user interface that reorganizes these data into comprehensive patient chart for medical staff to handle ER status. The system not just enhance the ER healthcare quality, it also servers as the basis for future electronic patient reference system.
