Summary:碩士 === 大同工學院 === 電機工程研究所 === 87 === The main purpose of this thesis is to analyze the impacts on power system due to large motor starting. This thesis also does a real case study of a 18 MW large induction motor. There are three main parts of this thesis: Introductions of induction motor starting method, impacts on power system due to large motor starting, and considerations for industrial applications. The starting methods introduced on the textbooks are limited, most of them are Y- starting, reactor starting, auto-transformer starting. In facts, there are more than ten starting methods to reduce the starting current. The methods will be induced and be put in order. Motor starting analyses include voltage dip analyses and starting process analyses. With the Load Flow Solution Method, the voltage dip calculation will be much more efficient. This paper analyzes the impact with motor transient models which include the relationships between the motor torque and the motor terminal voltage. It will not only observe the starting process of the motor but also observe the voltage changes of the other buses in the system. This thesis also puts the considerations of industrial applications in order. The considerations include the selections of motors, the relative rules, and the setting and coordination to motors. Those can be industrial references.
