MIRC''''s concept was first introduced to medical education in Taiwan, we took National Taiwan University Medical Center (NTUMC) as a case study. By means of questionnaire survey, this study investigated medical teacher''''s satisfaction of present instructional support and expectation on the function of medical instructional resources center. The questionnaires surveyed 375 formal faculty members. Total questionnaires return rate was 73.42%. Results of the survey indicated that: 1.Medical teachers at NTUMC were not satisfied with present instructional support services. It means that all the instructional support services units had to make an effort for providing better services. 2.Medical teachers at NTUMC highly expected on the medical instructional resources center to integrate relative divisions for providing overall instructional support services. 3.The expected prioritized functions of MIRC were: (1)audiovisual materials design and production. (2)teaching tools and software-hardware support. (3)faculty development for professional instruction. (4)classroom environment arrangement and maintenance.
