Description
Summary:碩士 === 淡江大學 === 數學學系 === 87 === Abstract: It was a great shocking when the first radioactively contaminated building was found in 1982. Unfortunately, there are almost two thousands of residents of all ages live in more than 170 radiation contaminated residential buildings in Taiwan. There were several health examination for each resident provided by the government. The possible physical damage of over-exposed to radiation will depend on the duration of exposure and/or the dosage level. Most of the information about the long-term exposure to low-dose radiation were occupational exposure, e.g. nuclear medicine inspector in every hospital, which is different from the residential exposure. From the physiology point of view, the possible physical damage for over-exposed to radiation includes blood cell system, thyroid, growth, and oral structure. And, it also possible will increase the incidence rate of cancer. In this paper, we tried to analyze the health examination data statistically. We found the following results: (1) For those people with abnormal EKG examination, the chance of abnormal in chest X-ray examination, lens examination and thyroid examination were increased. (2) For those people with abnormal chest X-ray examination, the chance of abnormal in EKG examination and lens examination were significantly increased. (3) For those people with abnormal lens examination, the chance of abnormal in EKG examination, chest X-ray examination, skin examination and thyroid examination were increased. (4) For those people with abnormal skin examination, the chance of abnormal in lens examination and thyroid examination were increased. (5) For those people with abnormal thyroid examination, the chance of abnormal in EKG examination, lens examination, skin examination and urine examination were increased.
