Summary:碩士 === 淡江大學 === 日本研究所 === 87 === Abstract: This thesis is mainly based on the thought and role model of the Japanese nationalism doctrine in l95Os, tracing back to 1867, the transition stage of the ruling system, as a beginning, to explore how the ocean country, Japan, survived between the domestic political chaos and the impact of the European culture. It further proposes that being in the critical position in East Asia like Japan, how to play an active role in punting the Asia-Pacific security mechanism in the unstable and uncertain environmental structure of the Asia-Pacific area in the coming twenty first century.
