The special features of it include: the type and scale of products are different, a temporary production line is usually required for each case, and the production line is stopped upon the completion of the project. Overseas or locally, the management of such production activities mainly follows the concept of project management. Although these techniques proposed in project management are useful, it must be noted however, that the methods derived from common project management school of thought may also have limitations. The production operations of a building project usually include repeated operations. The standard operations model may be applied. This thesis studies the production management problem faced by the building investment business. A decision process is proposed. We start with a questionnaire survey, and interviews to define the building production problems. Based on the basic operations of the building investment business, the system target, the nature of the special type of the production and operation management, the strategic planning process, a matrix decision process, and the competitive strategies are proposed. The process also includes guidelines for the selections of the operation models. It also includes four sub-systems. These are process, management, value, and decisions. Different alternative programs, validity and consistency analysis, and matrix decision analysis are possible for choosing an appropriate program for the production and operation management. The system we proposed helps eliminate possible blind spots of the project type of production/operations management that is currently in use. Simulations are also included. The production operations of a building project usually include repeated operations. The standard operations model may be applied.
