Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 營建工程系 === 87 === The bridge columns are designed as the weak elements to provide energy dissipation during seismic actions , therefore retrofitting the bridge column to maintain its plastic hinge capacity is very important . Whether the plastic hinge of bridge column can be developed or not still depends on the sufficient strengths of the connected elements such as the beam-column joint and the foundation. The primary objective of this study is to investigate the effect of column bar anchorage on the seismic behavior of T-joint especially for the concern of shear strength.
In specimen RJ1, the column longitudinal reinforcement resisting flexure had 90。 hooks with the free ends of the bars oriented away from the center of the column, and the column bars near the outside edges of the beam did not pass through the core region of the joint. The specimen RJ2 was detailed similar to specimen RJ1, but all the 90。 hooks of column bars of the specimen RJ2 were located within the core. In specimen RJ3, the column longitudinal reinforcement resisting flexure had 90。 hooks with the free ends of the bars oriented towards the center of the column and were all located within the core region of the joint. Specimen RJ3 has the best performance and the highest capacity of shear strength. This study demonstrated that flexural members terminating in a beam (a T-joint) must have their hooks turns inwards toward the axis of the member.
