To expand the computation capacity of the system to where it can be, we proposed a new architecture for the system. The result works well for 50MHz clock and zero wait state without any glitch. Meanwhile, in order to improve the flexibility for the PC-Based mode, a PCI local bus and a USB were developed for the system. Since the data-transfer rate for most of the on-shelf PCI solution chips do not meet the system requirement, a new architecture for the PCI interface circuit was developed. Based on this architecture, we designed a FPGA based PCI Target Controller which has been proved to work as expected.
