Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 電機工程系 === 87 === In this thesis, we developed and designed a digital signal processing system with a Texas Instrument TMS320C32PGM50 DSP chip for both Stand-alone and PC-Based operation modes.
To expand the computation capacity of the system to where it can be, we proposed a new architecture for the system. The result works well for 50MHz clock and zero wait state without any glitch.
Meanwhile, in order to improve the flexibility for the PC-Based mode, a PCI local bus and a USB were developed for the system. Since the data-transfer rate for most of the on-shelf PCI solution chips do not meet the system requirement, a new architecture for the PCI interface circuit was developed. Based on this architecture, we designed a FPGA based PCI Target Controller which has been proved to work as expected. Finally, we use a Cypress USB microcontroller for the USB interface for the system, which functions exactly as we expected.
