It is also an important living space inside cities. Different users conduct different activities in campuses and local districts. The demands of functional space derived from these activities have a certain degree of influence on the transformation of local space use. College campus plays a vital role in the structure of space. The development of neighboring districts has a closely related and interactive relationship with those campuses.
This research uses the daily activities of the students of the National Taiwan Normal University situated in Taipei''''s Da An district as the case study. Through the record of observations and questionnaires, to analyze the interactive relationship of the main campus users - students'''' daily behaviors, activities, locations and facilities, and proceed to understand within the geological environment, the interactive relationship between college campus and the local district, with space association and facility use.
In the research process, a retrospection of related researches of domestic and foreign college campuses is performed. While at the same time, apply "time geography" tracking, restriction and the theoretic principles of the rhomb, as the tentative research topics and the analytical framework. Through the research tools incorporated, to document the living activities of the interviewees: "living activity journal" and "activity commentary chart", and group all the collected information, as well as compile those data and create a student''''s living activity data bank, in order to learn the interactive relationship between campus and local district from the group analysis. The results are as follows:
1. Time use and allocation: the time allocation for the entire student body is normally divided into three sections when regular learning was the main activity structure. Time allocation during weekends and holidays is presented into two sections, and is more flexible; main activities involve relaxation, entertainment, shopping, etc.
2. The applicable environment and facility of daily life: the formations of night market alley and art street are the unique characteristics of the National Taiwan Normal University. Through the living needs of the campus users to reflect the close interactive relationship between college campus and local district.
3. Living domain and activity boundary: due to the multiple limitations of special geographical factors, activity hours and transportation modes, hence the onset of multiple types of facilities as well as the frequent numbers of activities within a 500 meter range to the campus. What this means is when developing and planning projects within this boundary, the above factors would be important consideration topics.
