The system is applied to promote the scanning capacity of traditional CMM for complicated surface measurement.   This research will develop a non-contact 3D-vision system and apply it to accelerate the surface data scanning and recognition. By the recognition of the surface data scanned, the system will generate a measurement layout of a 3-axes CMM. Through the image process of the surface and the data recognition, the surface characteristics will be found and applied to the measurement layout of Cyclone. This approach can decrease the scanning time data amount and the dependence on a technician.   This research develops an intelligent vision inspection system for rapid data acquisition of a mould or product with free form surface.
