Since the mechanical properties mainly dependent on the volume fractions of short fiber/Nylon 6 composites. Therefore, experiments, including tension test, bending test and fatigue test, have been processed to obtain the mechanical properties of those materials. By the mechanical tests, these provide enough information in structural design and analysis. In the present study, the carrier has been simulated by 3D FEM to obtain the stress and strain distributions of the injection molded structural component with complex geometry. The FEM model of the carrier have been simplified before simulating, To confirm the simplified FEM model, the computed results were verified by that obtained form experiments.
