However, it is still in the beginning stage for RP to be utilized in the manufacture of EDM electrode. This research, therefore, used the LOM (Laminated Object Manufacturing) system in our institute to study the feasibility for the LOM technique to be applied to the fabricating of Electrode. Generally, the quality of the work piece made by LOM was not good. With the hope to improve the quality, we used the newly developed Superficial Impregnation to fortify the water resistance and strength of the electrode made by LOM. After being coated with a PU layer, electroplated metal material, and electroformed copper, the EDM electrode could be obtained out of the original LOM work piece. To prove the workability of the electrode, we put the electrode into work with different manufacture parameters, and then carefully examined the working condition.
