The general rules for evaluating the conditions of strings are developed, and some cases are presented here. Lastly, the method for structural synthesis of string mechanisms is developed. The results of this study should be helpful for understanding the basic nature of string mechanisms, and can be used as the foundation for further development in the design and application.
