Ninty-seven accessions were randomly sampled from National plant Genetic Resources Center (NPGRC) and the local cultivar Tainan 5 (TN5) was included as a check. Several morphological traits and randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) were investigated in this study. Simple correlation and multivariate analysis were used to estimate the variation of quantitative characters (five vegetative traits, four pod traits, four seed traits) in the spring and summer cropping of 1998 at Taipei. The results were summarized as follows: 1.The 97 randomly selected accessions from the NPGRC germbank was a representative sample judging by the comparable X2 distribution of the 13 evaluated traits. 2.Number of pods per plant, pod weight and seed weight had higher CV value in different crops. Number of seed per pod and threshing rate was contrary. But CV value of the days of maturation was inconsistent in different seasons. 3.To compare of means of 13 quantitative characters in different cropping effect, highly significant difference were detected among the all characters between spring and summer season, except days of maturation and 100-seed weight. 4.Due to cultivar TN 5 was used to estimate variance of environment , germplasm heritability were over-estimates. Days to flowering, no. of pods per plant and 100-seed weight had high heritability in spring and summer, but no. of seeds per pod was low. Plant height at maturation, no. of flower clusters per plant and pod length had different response between cropping. 5.Based on quantitative characters were grouped, most of India germplasm (38/52, 28/52) were grouped into the same group and the other countries germplasm distributed in each group. The group I, G and H in the spring is similar to group H, D, E and G in the summer. 6.In simple correlation analysis, no. of flower cluster per plant and days to flowering were inconsistent respectively in different crops, but other vegetative characters were not. Correlations of days to maturation and to other pod characters were inconsistent with different cropping effect. Correlations of all seed characters were consistent. 7.In multivariate analysis, two vegetative characters plant height and days to flowering had indirect effect with grain yield. The pod character had large direct effect with grain yield due to late growth stage, especially two more important characters, no. of pod per plant and 100- seed weight. 8. The 92 accessions were amplified by RAPD and 14 primers were used. Twenty polymorphic molecular markers were producted, it will supply germplasm information. Six of 20 markers were core primer for mungbean germplasm. 9.After RAPD analysis, Nei and Li''s genetic similar formula were used to calculate distances for matrix value. Based on matrix value, cluster analysis were done. Two different groups (A wide-distance group、B near-distance group) were seperated by RAPD markers. Then, according to the grouping results, stepwise multiple regression of quantitative character on grain yield were used for group effect. RAPD group results were the same as using quantitative characters on grain yield. Cheng Chen 陳成 1999 學位論文 ; thesis 81 zh-TW
