Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 造船及海洋工程學研究所 === 87 === The occurrence of Partial Discharges in Power Transformers is a warning alarm of the apparatus' status. In the past, maintenance was only handled after disaster happened. This situation can not be the case for a high competitive era with high quality power demands. Therefore, it is indeed an important issue for maintainers in the field to know the inside story of the transformers before anything happens, which also saves time and money for future repairing. This article first discusses the happening reason of PD and the phenomena it induces. And because ultrasonic waves are accompanied when PD occurs, these waves propagate to the outer boundary of the apparatus. Which is the reason why we utilize AE(Acoustic Emission) technique on transformers to locate the PD happening inside. With the help of the electrical signal trigger, we ran a series of experiments in the lab in order to set up a robust system for the field. AE signals analyzed by Wavelet Transform revealed the dispersion relation of waves in a thin plate, which is also a new trial for determining the dispersion curve via time-frequency analysis. The results of the experiment not only shows the specific pattern source induced by PD on the boundary, this information also helps to advance the accuracy of the location scheme.
