Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 造船及海洋工程學研究所 === 87 === An experimental study for mufflers with mean flow is performed in this work. In reviewing the past studies, most of the researches focused on the theoretical analysis for the performance of mufflers. The purpose of this study is to establish an experiment to measure the transmission loss of mufflers with/without mean flow and also compare to the results of plane wave theory. The simple expansion chamber, concentric resonator, and plug muffler are all taken into consideration. Although the turbulence induced by the mean flow gave some uncertainties in the experimental measurements, the overall results seem to be good in comparing the results of experiment and plane wave theory analysis.
