Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 化學研究所 === 87 === Applying the chelation effect of magnesium atoms, it is available to select one or two deprotected hydroxyl groups from those on D-glucose. Moreover, deprotecting the C2 hydroxyl group of D-glucose, fully protected 2-manosamins are synthesized. So far, the strategy we applied has more advantages than that on other reports in several aspects.
The fully protected 2-mannosamine has very good combinations of protection groups. That is, we can identify every functional group on 2-mannosamin. For these variable combinations, it contains excellent potential on the synthesis of sialic acid and its analogs.
