Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 化學研究所 === 87 === In the analysis of erythromycin preparations, the major compound, estolate of erythromycin A (EAE, M.W.=790) could be easily detected by LC-Ultraviolet (LC-UV) chromatogram, but the other related impurities were difficult or unable to detect. This is most likely due to the lack of an UV chromophore, the lack of chomatographic resolution and the much small quantity in comparison with EAE. The combination of zoom scan with MS/MS provided an effective method to analyze the sample directly without chromtographic separation. All the related compounds except ECE and pdMeEA can be identified. The best result was obtained by using LC/ESI-MS-MS operated at the selected ion monitoring mode. The major compound, estolate of erythromycin A (EAE) and all other related impurities could be separated and identified.
High performance liquid chromatography and capillary electrophoresis/mass spectrometry technologies were often applied in the analysis of drug and biological compounds. In this research, sixteen chemical drugs, which were often added in the traditional Chinese medicine were analyzed by capillary electrophoresis/ion trap mass spectrometry. The combination of capillary electrophoresis and MS/MS provided an effective method and high reliable identification. With this approach, chemical drugs were detected in several adulterated Chinese medicine samples.
