First, two Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) are installed in the Long-Sing and Woo-Long Distribution Substations of the Taipei City respectively where the RLCSs are installed. The RTU fetches various power data of three main transformers and one assigned feeder from the substation. The data are used for load control strategies and offered to the dispatchers for reference. A new discrete-time fixed-load shedding control strategy(DTFLSCS) is proposed for load shedding strategy. To incorporate the SCADA system into the RLCS and verify the load shedding effect of the strategy, a new load control software (LCS) is developed. In the initial planning stage, the LCS can simulate and estimate the load shedding effect of the two assigned methods in the DTFLSCS. Then, according to the minimum square error of load shedding, the LCS determines a better load shedding method. Finally in implementation, the LCS fetches load data from the SCADA system, calculates the needed load shedding capacity, and sends the corresponding load control commands to the RLCS.
