Summary:博士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 工業教育研究所 === 87 === ABSTRACT This study explored the performance of general and mechanical specialized creativity of technical high schools’ students in machine shop, the factors that affected students’ creativity, the correlation between general and mechanical specialized creativity and how students in machine shop applied their creative thinking. The descriptive research method was used. The samples consisted of 300 the third grade students from 6 technical high schools (5% of 94 technical high schools with machine shop in Taiwan). Getting 293 effective questionnaires, the effective returning rate is 97.7%. Instruments used in this study were “Creativity Assessment Packet”, “The Test of Specialized Creativity in the Machine Shop”, and “The Questionnaire of the Relative Factors in Creativity”. Data gathered in this study were analyzed by frequency, ANOVA, stepwise regression, and canonical correlation analysis. The main finding were as followed: 1. The performance of creativity A. Students in machine shop had the potential of creation and invention. But they had to improve fluency, openness and humanistic discipline. B. Students did not have active attitude about creativity. Their creative aspirations needed promoting. C. In order to understand students’ specialized creativity, mechanical creativity test needed to be development. 2. The relation between creativity and relative factors A. Enhancing academic achievement, skill achievement and increasing extrinsic motivation can promote creative thinking ability. B. Students with high caring parents, high authoritative teachers, high intrinsic motivation and low peer interaction had a tendency to create better. C. Students with intrinsic motivation, studying in public schools, high skill achievement, high caring parents, high right-brain cognition, low peer interaction expressed the best performance in mechanical creativity. 3. The correlation of general and mechanical creativity A. Creativity was different from domains to domains. B. The tendency to create belongs to the affective domain. Creativity and creative tendency in different domains related significantly. 4. The application of thinking skills of mechanical specialized creativity Paying attention to and imitating the creative models were the most effective and wide-used creative thinking skills. Creative thinking skill training accompanied by attribute list and check list methods might promote creativity. Finally , based on the conclusion above, this study provided some concrete suggestions as reference for teachers, schools, educational administration, and afterward researcher.
