Tgreen sand for experiment are prepared as the following 6 groups of green sand mixed with similar active clay . Each group of green sand is added with different percent of clay ,seacoal and ash. There are two different ways to mull the green sand; one is to accumulate mull the sand for 10 to 15 minutes, the other 10 hours of time effect as well. Besides, the compaactability ratio is to reach 43+ - 2%. After the mulling, refer to the standard operation process of AFS to test the properties of each group of sand and the deformationofhorizontal moldwall by uding each sand sample. The results of this experiment show that the green sand will become different according to the different adding ingredients and different mulling ways. Within that , the accumulate mulling with adding time effects did increase the green compressive strength and green shear strength . The adding of the ash increase mmoisture , green aompressive strength ,and green shear strength. Diffeerent ingredients of green sand , mulling method and casting molten metal effect the deformation of horizontal moldwall. Regarding the adding ingredient of green sand , the norizontal deformation of green sand mold adding with ash is the smallest while the horizontal deformation of green sand mold adding with clay is the laargest. With regard to the method of the mulling , the hhorizontal deformation of green sand mold by accumulate mulling with adding time effects is the smallest .
