Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中山大學 === 機械工程學系 === 87 === The thesis adopts the finite element method(FEM) three failure theo-ries on the static analysis of Rudder Carrier . The numerical package of softwares PATRAN and NASTRAN,which are based on the FEM are incorporated with the analysis. In order to prove the reliability and pre-ciseness of our model, we compare the results obtained from the nu-merical prediction with those calculated from the design formulas of Rudder Carrier , then provide suggestions and the way of improvement to Rudder Carrier .
The result reveals that both the numerical analysis and the design formulas of Rudder Carrier are very close, except the big difference of the bottom stress of Bearing Disk. In comparison we decide to use the von Mises criterion on the further design of Rudder Carrier. However, refering to Bearing Disk, we not only find out the reason why the numerical analysis and the formula results are largely discrepant, but make some changes on the structure of Rudder Carrier.It displays that it will come out a large error if using the design formula to predict the bottom stress of Bearing Disk instead of the numerical analysis.This analysis paves a way for re-designing Rudder Carrier in the future.
At last,the important results can be summarized as:(1) The maxi-mum stress generates at Liner,especially at the screws where stress con-centration happens.(2)The compressive stess of a Rib will increase if it is thinner.(3) The bottom stress of Bearing Disk increases if Rib number decreases.
