Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中山大學 === 生物科學研究所 === 87 === The present study was carried out to investigate its effects on plasma extravasation, SP-IR axons and goblet cell secretion in rat airways. The amount of plasma extravasation produced by i.v. injection of capsinolol was about half of the produced by the same dose of capsaicin. Capsinolol didn''t produce an increase of plasma extravasation at higher doses and caused degranulation of goble cells and edema formation which were smaller than those caused by capsaicin. Seven days after local application of capsinolol to the left cervical vagus and superior laryngeal nerves the innervation density of SP-IR axons in the left lobar bronchi was reduced by 58.2%~73.8%. This treatment also reduced the subsequent capsaicin-induced plasma leakage in the ipsilateral lobar bronchi by 42.8%~75.2%. It was concluded that the effect of stimulation was less potent than that by capsaicin and possessed the ability of depleting tachykinins in the sensory axons innervating the airways.
